SWHS's Dragon Drama made huge leaps and strides in our One-Act Play season this year with the play Bocón! by Lisa Loomer. Advancing from the Zone, District, and Bi-District contest led them to compete at the Area level on Saturday, April 13th, at Smithson Valley High School. The competition was super tough, but Dragon Drama held their own, winning an All-Star Crew: Tory Gage, All-Star Cast: Ismael Luera, and Best Performer: Caleigh Funderburk. Over the entire competition, we were able to secure the following accolades and awards:

Everyone will have a chance to see Bocón! on Monday, April 22nd, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Southwest High School in the Auditorium. The tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased with cash at the door or on www.gofan.co with the attached QR code. Come out and see the award winning show of a young man who struggles to get to the United States from Guatemala and the beautiful heritage he brings with him.
