Cooperatives

Southwest Independent School District contracts for the purchase of goods and services, except contracts for the purchase of produce or fuel, valued at $50,000 or more in the aggregate for each 12-month period shall be made by one of the procurement methods stipulated in Chapter 44, section 44.031 of the Texas Education Code and approved by SWISD Board of Trustees.
 
To qualify as a contracted vendor, a vendor must have been vetted by:
  • award from a contract by a purchasing cooperative of which SWISD is a member, or 
  • award from SWISD bid, quote, proposal, or professional service contract.
