Southwest ISD offers Humana insurance coverage to all full-time employees through fully insured plans. Employees have different health plan options from which to compare and select the one that best meets their needs. The district offers several PPO options, these products are open to employees and their dependents. The district's contribution is $375 per month toward the cost of any medical insurance plan purchased.

 

Employees must elect coverage within the first 30 days of employment. Upon enrollment, all insurance benefits are effective the first day of the month following the date of hire.

* Walgreens Pharmacy will no longer be in Network with Humana for prescription coverage starting September 1, 2021. Please ask your Walgreens Pharmacist to email your current prescriptions to HEB, CVS, Walmart, SAMS, Costco or any other approved pharmacy prior to September 1, 2021.
