Visiting a Campus

Visitor Management
SWISD maintains the safety and security of all campuses by providing procedures to access all facilities within the district. When visiting a campus, the front offices will allow access, to the public, by verifying who comes into the school both visually and with access control. This procedure is the same for all campuses across the SWISD district.

The following outlines our procedures for entering our campuses.

All campuses can only be accessed using the main entrance of the school. Upon entering through the front door, you will be in a vestibule where staff will need to buzz you into the front office. If no staff is at the desk, please ring the door bell. Do not pull on the door until you hear it click.

  • Office staff buzzes you into the front office for check-in.
  • All visitors will be asked for a valid state/ federal issued identification card. This card will be scanned using our Visitor Management system.
  • Please inform the front office staff of the reason for your visit, and sign into our Visitor Log Binder at the front desk.
  • If your ID scan meets our school criteria you will be allowed access to your destination after receiving a yellow visitor badge.
  • This visitor badge must be worn at all times and visible at all times throughout your visit to the campus.
  • Once you are done with your visit, you must return to the front office to return your badge to the front office staff. You will check out by signing out on the Visitor Log Binder then leave the campus.
