Southwest High School hosted the 2023 Academics and Arts Competition on Saturday, March 4. Nearly 400 students from all eleven elementary schools in Southwest ISD participated in various "UIL style" academic and art events, such as chess puzzles and storytelling in English and Spanish. The students earned points and were individually recognized, but their ultimate aim was to contribute enough points to help their campus emerge as the overall AAA Competition winner.
