This week at Southwest Elementary, Pre-K students participated in an exciting learning experience centered around "Who Works in Our School?" As part of their curriculum, the young learners will meet and interact with the dedicated SWISD staff who make their school run smoothly.
Today, the students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the important role their cafeteria staff plays daily at Southwest Elementary. The engaging session included a Q&A, where students could ask questions about the staff's job and daily responsibilities. Then, the young students welcomed a special guest to their campus: SWISD Chef Rudy Guerra. Chef Rudy explained the importance of nutrition and provided a custom-made apple sauce tasting.
This interactive experience gave the children valuable insights into the people who support their education and well-being at school.
