On Thursday morning at SW Legacy, Mr. Castro’s Practicum of Law Enforcement class, part of the CTE pathway, welcomed KSAT 12 Investigative Reporter Dillon Collier. Mr. Collier shared insights into the TV news industry, showcased some of his local investigative stories, and discussed his journalism journey, which began at Arizona State University and included professional stints in Laredo, TX, and Flint, Michigan, before bringing him to Alamo City.
The class is made up of seniors who have been on the CTE pathway for four years. During the questions and answers portion of the presentation, Senior Kalie Rodriguez expressed her interest in criminal justice after graduating from SW Legacy. Anthony Pagan shared his security interest, while Ana Gonzalez discussed her goal of attending law school to become a lawyer.
The Practicum of Law Enforcement pathway is setting these seniors up for promising careers. On behalf of Mr. Castro, his students, and SW Legacy High School, Southwest ISD sends a big thank you to Mr. Collier for taking the time to inspire and share his experiences with our Titan seniors.
