Neighboring Palo Alto College recently hosted the Palomino Mariachi Festival, organized by the PAC Department of Music, and welcomed McNair and McAuliffe Middle School mariachi groups. Both groups performed for an audience of family, friends, and a panel of judges, including Southwest Legacy’s own Mariachi Director, Mr. Daniel Cantu.
As a middle school-only event, the festival offered a unique opportunity for the performers. Judges from the Palomino Mariachi Festival provided authentic feedback during clinic sessions, which will help our musicians refine their skills and take valuable insights back to their campuses for future performances.
