For December, we will feature Board Trustee Florinda Bernal as we continue our monthly Board Spotlight Series. We will highlight her personal story and contributions to our community.
As an advocate for our Special Education programs, Mrs. Bernal is proud of how far the district has come to improve the programs that we offer in that department. "I am very proud to say we have actually come a long way from where we were 18 years ago," Mrs. Bernal said. She is also proud to be a part of the process of adding Southwest Legacy High School as our most recent high school. Mrs. Bernal is proud of the many additions SWISD has accomplished over the years and looks forward to the future.
