Bob Hope Shinning Brighter With New 2024 All-Stars Cheer Squad

The school spirit at Bob Hope has reached beyond all-star levels with the introduction of the new All-Stars Cheer Squad for the 2024 school year. Led by cheer coaches Katie Wedhe and Ashley Arguello, who both agree that they are thrilled at the opportunity these cheerleaders are having so far this year.

The cheer team is comprised of second and fifth-grade students, with between 15-20 girls participating this semester. They will help increase school spirit and inclusion for the entire campus, from rallies on campus to helping out in the community. Everyone on campus, from teachers, staff, and Principal Ms. Garza, is on board and supports the cheer team 100%.

Both coaches agree to see the girls get better every day while fun is rewarding, especially for the girls who have gained confidence breaking out of their shells. For fifth-grader Lissette Renteria, she shared that she is having fun learning about cheer, and plans to cheer next year in middle school. Third-grader Mackenzie Zozaya encourages other students to join the cheer team so they, too, can have fun at Bob Hope. Like Lissette, fifth-grader Alucena Guerrero also has plans to cheer next year in middle school, but so far this year, she loves dancing to the beat for the cheer team. As we visited the cheer team for this story, the All-Stars received their uniforms this year. Good luck this school year, and we can’t wait to see what the future will bring to the team in the coming years. Thanks for visiting with Snippets. GO ALL-STARS!
