Wednesday night gave SWISD 8th graders a firsthand look at the exciting opportunities awaiting them at CAST STEM High School at Palo Alto College. Students explored all CAST STEM programs and met with teachers and staff from P.E., logistics, and drones, gaining insight into the hands-on learning experiences available.
McAuliffe 8th grader Jaylee Hernandez toured the open house and is set to join CAST STEM in the fall. Excited about starting high school on a college campus, Jaylee shared with Snippets that she looks forward to the unique educational experiences CAST offers. She also encourages other students to consider CAST STEM, emphasizing the benefits it will bring to their future.
Fellow McAuliffe Rocket, Angel Perez, is also making the transition to become a CAST STEM Cobra next school year. Angel expressed feeling warmly welcomed by CAST administrators and teachers at the Palo Alto Auditorium. He is eager to explore all the programs CAST STEM has to offer and is excited for the journey ahead.
