For February, we will feature Board Trustee Ida Sudolcan as we continue our monthly Board Spotlight Series. We will highlight her personal story and contributions to our community.
Not only an advocate for our community but also an advocate for children in our foster care system, Ms. Sudolcan has volunteered for the last six years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). In this role, she helps to advocate for the children that she works with. She is responsible for checking on them in school and making sure that they have the services that they need. "The big thing with CASA is you make sure the kids don't fall through the cracks." Ms. Sudolcan finds this to be a very rewarding role. "That's probably one of the most rewarding things that I have done," Ms. Sudolcan said.
