For March, we will feature Board President Sylvester Vasquez as we continue our monthly Board Spotlight Series. We will highlight his personal story and contributions to our community.
As a big supporter of our students, Mr. Vasquez is happy to support them with many resources to help them succeed. "As long as we can, and as long as we are doing the right thing, let's keep doing it, and we do," Mr. Vasquez said. He is also proud of the many accomplishments that SWISD has achieved. "One of the greatest accomplishments here at Southwest is we have always had a good working relationship with the seven board members and the superintendent," Mr. Vasquez said.
