For this week's segment of Homegrown, we interviewed Rose Alvarado, a 2003 Southwest High School graduate. Alvarado was inspired to pursue her fitness career by one of her mentor coaches that she trained under as a student. "I have always had an interest in fitness." As a mom of two children who attend schools in our district, she loves our community and everything it offers. " I love the Southwest community; there's no other community like it," Alvarado said.
