Update - Jan. 27, 2026 - 9:27 am:
We would like to provide an update regarding the earlier bus accident involving Southwest Legacy High School students.
At this time, five students were transported for evaluation with non-life-threatening injuries. Another five students are either waiting for parent pickup or will be transported back to campus. The remaining students have been safely released to their parents.
EMS and district staff remain on site, and we continue to work closely with emergency responders to ensure all students are cared for.
We are thankful that no life-threatening injuries were reported among our students, and we continue to keep our bus driver in our thoughts as they receive medical care.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our families as we worked through this situation. Additional updates will be shared if needed.

We are aware of a bus accident involving 33 Southwest Legacy High School students that occurred earlier today on the access road near Loop 410 and Old Pearsall Road.
At this time, there are no reports of serious injuries to any students. EMS and district nurses are on site and are currently evaluating all students as a precaution.
The bus driver has been transported to a hospital. We are thankful that none of our students were seriously injured, and we are praying for our bus driver’s recovery.
The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority. Parents of any student needing additional medical attention will be contacted directly.
