Happy New School Year, Hidden Cove STEAM Academy! As students fill the hallways and another year of learning begins, there’s a familiar face ready to welcome our Eagles: Principal Michael Maldonado.
So, who is Mr. Maldonado when he’s not busy leading Hidden Cove? We asked a few questions to help our community get to know him!

Dream job as a kid: Teacher

Football or basketball: Football
Disney or Universal: Universal
Away from school: You might find him on the golf course!
But Mr. Maldonado’s favorite part of being a principal comes back to his students: watching them learn and grow—and seeing them return to share what they’ve accomplished.
And his advice for the Eagles this year?
“It’s okay to make mistakes. They’re going to happen. That doesn’t mean you should stop trying.”
That’s a message worth carrying into a new school year. Mistakes are part of learning, and every day is another opportunity to grow.
