2024-2025 Medical Insurance Plans & Rates

Southwest ISD offers Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS),  insurance coverage to all full-time employees through fully insured plans. Employees have different health plan options from which to compare and select the one that best meets their needs. The district offers HMO and PPO options, these products are open to employees and their dependents. The district's contribution is $375 per month toward the cost of any medical insurance plan purchased.

Employees must elect coverage within the first 30 days of employment. Upon enrollment, all insurance benefits are effective the first day of the month following the date of hire.
