DANCE

SWISD provides students with a dance instruction program and comprehensive knowledge of dance as an art form where the students can perform dance that will foster artistic creation, an awareness of body sciences, fitness principals, and dance elements through  comprehensive coursework, diverse productions, disciplined work ethic, cultural and historical appreciation, enrichment through variety of dance genres, creative choreographic process, and artistic diversity and appreciation.

 

Our Dance Department features the award winning Southwest Dragonfire Dancers as well as our newly created Southwest Legacy Golden Dazzlers. The students not only perform at the football games, but in city and state competitions, as well as in numerous community events.
