CONVO CON 25 Kicks Off The New School Year!
The 2025-26 school year blasted off at Southwest ISD with a pop culture twist, with CONVO CON 2025! From capes, magic wands, and where Grease was the word, this heroic kickoff down the yellow brick road brought excitement, school pride, and a whole lot of enthusiasm to our galaxy, not so far, far away.
This year, we proudly honored former Superintendent Dr. Lloyd Verstuyft with the Pillar of the Community Award, recognizing his commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our students and staff. We also celebrated the Assistance League of San Antonio and Dr. Yolanda Hernandez-Sugura as Friends of Southwest.
In an unforgettable moment, our Secondary Teacher of the Year was surprised with the announcement that they had been named ESC 20 Teacher of the Year!
Because at SWISD, everyone’s a HERO, and this is where HEROES rise!
