2025 Summer Meals

Southwest ISD will be participating in the USDA's Summer Food Service Program this summer.  Any child, aged 18 or younger, may come to one of our open sites to get a FREE breakfast and lunch during the scheduled meal times.  FREE breakfast and lunch meals are also available to persons with disabilities, over age 18, who participate in school programs for people who are mentally or physically disabled.  Eligible children/persons do not need to be SWISD students or live in the area in order to receive a meal.

We understand that it might be tempting for parents to eat off of their child's tray, but we kindly ask that you leave all the food so that it can be consumed by your child so that it gives him/her the nutrition they need to grow and flourish!  Our staff members will be happy to sell you a tray of your own if you'd like to eat alongside your child.

Cash will be the only accepted form of payment during the summer months.  Checks and money on student accounts will not be used to pay for adult/guest meals or a la carte items such as extra portions.

School Nutrition Services staff prepare fresh meals daily in each school kitchen. Our nutritious offerings meet or exceed federal school nutrition standards. We aim to provide a well-balanced selection that includes healthier takes on student favorites, scratch-made meals, and globally inspired flavors. Menus feature a wide range of items from all food groups, including whole grain-rich options, vibrant fresh fruits, and vegetables.

For detailed allergen and nutrition information, please visit SWISD School Cafe—this is also available through an app! For information about special dietary needs, visit the Special Diets & Food Allergies section on our website.

Due to ongoing supply chain issues and manufacturer shortages, menus are subject to change without notice based on product availability. We will do our best to keep our menus updated if any changes occur.
