About Us

Dr. LeLesleysley Balido McClellan Executive Director of Talent Management Lesley Balido McClellan is an educational leader specializing in building pipelines of instructional leaders to improve student outcomes system-wide. Beginning her career as an elementary bilingual teacher, McClellan brings more than 10 years of experience in education.  Immediately prior to joining Southwest ISD, McClellan was the senior analyst of research and evaluation at The Holdsworth Center, a non-profit supporting leaders in public education in Texas.  Before her time at Holdsworth, McClellan was part of the leadership team of five that designed, developed and implemented the ground breaking PreK4SA program from its inception. Prior to Pre-K 4 SA, Lesley worked as a bilingual specialist at Alamo Heights ISD and as a dual language teacher at East Central ISD. She is a 2012 H-E-B Excellence in Education award winner and the former host and writer of Education 4 SA, a 30-minute monthly talk show on the City of San Antonio’s TV channel that discusses relevant information in the field of early childhood. 

Lesley holds a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Texas A&M University in Kingsville and is a graduate of the Institute for School Leadership-Large Scale Development from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
