Title I, Part "A"
Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (school districts) and schools with high numbers or high percentage of children who meet the criteria for low-income families.
Every traditional campus at SWISD is a schoolwide Title I campus, which uses funds to support programs, staff, professional development, data analysis, supplemental materials, homeless, and parental engagement activities.

Parent Engagement
At least 1% of Title I, Part A funds are provided at the District and campus levels to assist parents in becoming partners in their children's education and to meet the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
Our district coordinates with SWISD SA READS, Family Service Associates, Head Start, Communities in Schools (CIS), and other local agencies for parent engagement activities.
